Position: Outdoor Manager
Location: Peterborough

Notcutts is the third largest Garden Centre Group in the UK and the largest privately owned, by the Notcutts family. Annual turnover is c £60m. With increased interest in gardening, the rise of celebrity gardeners and ‘grow your own’ it is an exciting time to be in the garden centre business.

We are looking to recruit an Outdoor Manager for our Peterborough Garden Centre in Water Orton, Cambridgeshire.

As the Outdoor Manager you will be a key member of the management team in the Garden Centre, supporting the General Manager to ensure that the Centre maintains it’s prestigious reputation for providing first class horticultural expertise, whilst improving profitability in this commercial environment.

Specific responsibilities include deputising in the General Managers absence, stock management, customer service, financial performance and health and safety.

Successful candidates will have an extensive knowledge of plants, a high level of visual merchandising skills, proven experience of managing in a retail environment, commercial awareness and analytical skills matched by their ability to manage and motivate a successful team of which they can be proud.

Ideally, successful candidates will have an broad knowledge of plants, an ability to inspire customers through eye-catching visual displays, proven experience of managing in a retail environment, commercial awareness and analytical skills matched by their ability to manage and motivate a successful team dedicated to providing a high level of customer service for which they can be proud.

Position: Outdoor Section Head
Location: Woodford, Cheshire
Job Type: Permanent

We have a position available as Outdoor Section Head working within the outdoor area of our Woodford Park Garden Centre based in Woodford, Cheshire.

As the Outdoor Section Head you will be responsible for the outdoor area, making effective use of resources to ensure high standards of customer service, minimised wastage and maximised profits.

Successful candidates will have proven experience of managing in a retail environment, a good level of plant/horticultural knowledge, commercial awareness and analytical skills matched by their ability to manage and motivate a successful team of which they can be proud.

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week averaged over a two week working pattern including bank holidays and weekends.
